Verizon testing Motorola Droid X Froyo update
There is already a leak on the internet of the Android 2.2 update for the Motorola Droid X. Some of you might have already downloaded and installed the update. But Motorola has asked the Motorola Droid X users to wait for official release of the update as the leaked version might block the official update from installing on your phone.
DroidLife has reported that Verizon is already the Android 2.2 or Froyo update for the Motorola Droid X phones. The update will be released shortly and you may rather wait for the official release than downloading the leaked version and then later face difficulties installing the official version as Motorola says it. The Android 2.2 update, according to the picture that DroidLife has provided, says that the Motorola Droid X users will be getting the update on Sep. 3rd. So that is only 2 days remaining.
We suggest that you should wait for the two days and not install the leaked version. Verizon will be soon be releasing the update for Motorola Droid X and you get it either over the air (OTA) or download it manually and install.

The Sep 3rd deadline was for the Dinc, not the DX… And Verizon’s reps all seem to have a different answer to when we’ll recieve it.. I’m so impatient… GRRRAAAGGHHH!!!
